nest was a collaborative, outdoor installation created by shannon gowen, molly pennington and valerie wolf for the 12th annual east austin studio tour.

"EAST is a free, self-guided tour that champions the abundance of talent within Austin's large and wildly diverse creative community. the public is invited to discover new artistic talent, see working studios, learn about artists' tools, techniques, and inspirations, and support the arts community by building their collections and supporting local businesses."

the set was configured from wooden fence posts arranged to resemble a home overrun by nature. custom illustrations were displayed as wall art and the space was transformed into a unique gallery. furniture and props were carefully selected to ensure an interactive experience for east-goers. and the house was brought to life with wild floral arrangements and the playful use of greenery and natural elements.
