our engagement

it's often too easy to let the busyness of life get in the way of living it. a truth experienced again and again during davy gray's first year in business. fortunately for me, taylor is a constant reminder of what's really important. he grounds me, supports me, makes me laugh, lets me cry, loves me to no end, and i am so very excited to be his partner in this life.

we took these photos on a bone chilling afternoon. the weather called for 60 degrees and dry. what we got was 40 degrees, gusty wind and drizzle. luckily taylor grabbed two mexican blankets and a bottle of whiskey on our way out the door. my man. always thinking ahead.

taylor designed my ring with our sister margot wolf. they found out about all the vintage, single stone rings on my secret pinterest board and collaborated to create the most precious piece of jewelry i have ever worn. the stone is vintage from the 1920's and the band was designed to resemble wood grain to symbolize my new adventures in flowering. pretty perfect, right?

despite the cold, the day was beautifully captured by our sister and photographer paula wolf. her mindfulness and precise vision for the end result made working together a dream. she challenged herself and shot the photos simultaneously with this amazing video. and we seriously cannot thank her enough for this priceless gift.
